Director of Support & Technical Training
“There are many reasons why receiving I-CAR approval is so important to our technical training programs. Above all, I-CAR approval gives Matrix Wand users a peace of mind that they are receiving thorough and structured training on such a unique tool. But also, I-CAR’s mission is to provide comprehensive and standardized training throughout the auto collision repair industry. By doing so, it improves the quality of auto repair – which, in turn, ensures the safety and reliability of a repaired vehicle. To receive I-CAR approval means the Matrix Wand Technical Training Program supports this goal. We look forward to training our customers, while benefiting them with additional opportunities to maintain their I-CAR Gold Class and Platinum Individual status.”

I-CAR works hand-in-hand with tool, equipment and supplier segments to bring the most current and relevant training to the collision repair industry. Members of these segments not only contribute to much of the content found in I-CAR training, but I-CAR also recognizes many of these organizations’ training courses through the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance. The common goal is to enhance industry relationships, improve consumer safety and drive outstanding business results.

Matrix is now one of these select organizations. Together, we are building a community of highly knowledgeable and committed collision repair professionals, including technicians, shop owners and managers, tool and equipment suppliers, insurance companies, auto glass installers, towing companies, rental car agencies, and others.

Jason Bartanen
Director of Industry Technical Relations
“I-CAR has enjoyed a longstanding collaborative partnership with Matrix that has greatly benefited both organizations. We are excited to incorporate the Matrix Wand into the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance. It will help us to continue providing the information, knowledge and skills required to perform complete, safe and quality repairs for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.”

About Matrix

Matrix is known for its patented, award-winning, flagship invention: The Matrix Wand. The Matrix Wand is a hand-held 3D electronic blueprinting and repair measuring device for structural collision damage. It uses 3D imagery and specialized computer software to assess structural collision damages versus factory repair data and specifications. Estimators and repair technicians can use the images to measure and correct sway, sag and mash using infinite data points. The Wand’s purpose is to identify hidden damages and, in turn, improve estimation accuracy. Because the Matrix Wand can perform structural collision damage analysis in approximately 15 minutes, while similar technologies may take up to one hour, the Matrix Wand can also improve shop throughput.

Matrix Electronic Measuring, Inc. was founded in 2003 in Salina, Kansas, USA. Its flagship product, the Matrix Wand, was introduced to market at the 2012 SEMA Show, where it won the prestigious New Products Showcase Award. Today, the Matrix Wand holds 6 U.S. and 21 foreign patents.
